The Cemetery Chapel

An ecumenical space for religious and secular funerals

Over 100 years of commmemorations

There is a small chapel at the Non-Catholic Cemetery. Designed by German architect Andreas Holzinger in 1896, it is characterized by neo-Gothic elements and late 19th-century eclecticism. More information about the chapel’s history and design can be found in Newsletter n.7 from 2009.

The chapel can accommodate about 55 people seated with another 25 standing (for a total of 80 people). It can be rented for two hours at a time to host religious or secular funerals and other ceremonies. We offer hospitality but ask that families make their own arrangements for ceremonies. Please note that ceremonies can only be held from Monday to Friday during opening hours.

For more details and information about the Cemetery chapel, please contact mail@cemeteryrome.it or call +39065741900. Once you have made arrangements with someone by phone or email, we kindly ask you to fill in the following form to help us with preparations for the ceremony.
