welcome to the non-catholic cemetery in rome

There are many reasons to visit the Non-Catholic Cemetery for Foreigners in Rome, an active burial ground since 1716. Our historic garden hosts over 6000 burials representing over fifty religious denominations from nearly sixty countries. Many artists and intellectuals lay to rest here, but each grave holds important stories. We encourage you to plan your visit as we try to balance the needs of the families whose loved ones rest here with those of other visitors.
